Good Neighbors Uganda (GNIUG) has officially launched the Good Neighbors Global Citizenship Education Program (GCEP) at Nakasero Senior School on 26th Feb 2025 a step in raising awareness among students about pressing global challenges. The program focuses on middle-income schools in Kampala, Uganda. GCEP encourages students to recognize the challenges faced by their peers in low-income schools and take action and contribute to meaningful change within their communities. During the launch, 90 students participated and pledged their commitment to the program’s mission. Through interactive discussions and activities the students will explore ways to support children in famine- and poverty-affected areas most especially those affected by the climate crisis in Uganda. As the program grows, Good Neighbors International Uganda envisions a future where students and their families play an active role in creating solutions for social and environmental challenges through education, awareness and direct action.
