In 2024, Good Neighbors International Uganda in its Jinja SRHR project distributed 450 reusable dignity kits to adolescent girls in Jinja. This ensured that girls have the enough dignity kits to manage their menstrual health with dignity. As part of our Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) training, 450 pupils participated in educational sessions on menstrual health and 225 girls gained hands-on skills in sewing their own dignity kits.
By learning to make their own kits, these girls are equipped with a lifelong skill that will help them manage menstrual hygiene even in times of scarcity or emergency.
